This is a picture of the owls on the Cardston Alberta Temple.
We had pigeons on the temple all the time and they were praying for a solution to the pigeons when a family of owls arrived and now live on the temple. They solved the problem of the pigeons.
Picture taken by Ken Kirkpatrick.
There is a boy in our ward who is working on his Eagle Scout Award.
He raised money so he could make emergency hygiene packages in shoe boxes
to send to people in need.
His mother is a photographer and she took pictures to help him make money.
This is the picture she took of us.
The scanner showed some of the grain in the photo that isn't really there.
Our Missionary Photo!!
This is in the evening.
We came out of our little cottage and saw this rainbow in the evening sky.
Another evening shot on a different night.
This is the same evening. What a pretty sky.
Isn't this a beautiful sunset?
The sky is so orange!!
This is another little church here but the sky behind it is amazing!!
Look at those clouds.
The palms in front of the clouds are beautiful too!
More of these beautiful clouds!
I love it when they are so white and beautiful!
A close-up photo.
This is the back of a van that was in front of us.
The window picture caught our eye and then we looked at the license plate.
Interesting!
Three ducks enjoying the sprinklers on a very hot summer day!!!
I would have liked to have joined them!
Here is a little mushroom of some sort in our garden.
Elder Draper took this picture. He does take some.
The mushroom from below......
.... and from above.
It is so delicate! It looks like crepe paper.
What interesting clouds in the sky.
Aren't they beautiful?
Another picture just a few minutes later.
Such beauty!!
This is a close-up picture from the last picture.
What a huge cloud and so orange.
Here is another shot. I love the sky!!!
Another one of these flies showed up in our car port.
These palms have seed pods that open.
This one has barely opened.
The cover above it is soon to turn brown and fall off the tree.
They are so big and that's why Elder Draper is in the photo..... to show perspective.
A close-up of the seeds just after the pod opened.
We have such pretty little flowers all over.
I showed a pink one earlier just like this one in the grass.
Now the pink ones are gone and the yellow ones are blooming.
Aren't they dainty? (That's my shoe.)
What a beautiful day!!!
The sun is so bright and the clouds are so brilliant!!
I can't believe how white the clouds are!!
Robin and me at the Orlando Temple.
This is the first time she went and we are just heading into the temple.
She has family names that are going to be baptized tonight.
I'm so excited for her!!
I love the greenery here.
The leaves are so big and beautiful!!
We are standing just outside the church.
This lake is the lake behind Brother King's house. (our landlord)
His house is just out of sight to the left of the picture and our house is right across the street from his.
That is the Presbyterian church in the background.
We love that we live so close to the church!!
Our first blossom on the papaya trees.
This tree should have several pieces of fruit on it.
I hope they don't freeze this year.
One of my favorite shots of the sky.
The sun is just peeking out from behind that cloud.
This is a new flower in our front garden.
It is opening up into a beautiful flower.
It's pretty isn't it?
from another angle.....
Today was a great day.
We had some rain showers and then came the rainbow.
Isn't it beautiful with the double rainbow?
This is overlooking Engineers Lake across the street from our home.
Just a little close-up of the double rainbow.
Now comes the rain.
When it rains in the rainy season, it pours!!!!
We are driving in this picture.
The wipers are on high speed but they don't make much difference at all.
You can hardly see the vehicles in front of us.
It only takes a minute to lose sight of them.
We always slow down to a crawl like most people do but some just keep on going.
The roads are not banked well enough and the rain stays on the road and is quite deep.
It is so easy to hydro-plane.
After the rain, the droplets of water that hang from the papaya trees are beautiful!!
Another close-up of the rain drops left behind.
This is during another rain storm.
The water just pours off the roof.
This looks like plastic hanging down but really it is water pouring into our gardens.
It pours hard when it comes off the roof.
The gardens are left in puddles.
I am standing on our porch looking out.
You can see the wall of water coming off the roof into our garden.
Another beautiful sky!
This is the morning sky on the way to a Mission Conference.
What a beautiful sun rise!!
This is the Mission Conference.
Elder Zivic of the Seventy, with his wife came for our conference.
He was amazing!!!
English is a second language and it was so fun to listen to him.
His wife is an English teacher so she helped him when he got stuck.
He was so cute.
He would ask a question and then when someone gave an answer and he was still looking for another answer he would say, "Another opinion?"
It was such a common phrase for him to use.
In front from left to right is President and Sister Summerhays, Sister and Elder Zivic
Our Zone is behind them.
We all loved it!!!!
Dear Sister Griffith missed the picture so she got one of her own.
She's a new Sister here and is Spanish speaking. She's wonderful!!!
This is Ron with one of his best friends, President Hinckley.
This is the Relief Society's Presentation of "The Ten Virgins".
I'm at the piano. Where else would I be??
This tree has some parasites growing into it and the parasites will eventually kill the tree.
Same tree. See the parasites hanging down?
See how they grow up the trunk of the tree?
They are growing up the one branch and they attach themselves right to the tree.
Here is another shot of the blossom that comes.
I've never seen the blossom before.
It really is quite pretty!
We are having a wonderful time here.
A couple of weeks ago we had a non-member phone us and ask us to come to teach them.
We had been helping the Elders teach them a few months ago.
She at that time was expecting a baby and felt it wasn't a good time for her to study the Gospel.
She wanted to wait till after the birth of her baby.
The baby has come now and she feels more ready to listen and study the Gospel.
Our first visit back while we were establishing what it was they were looking for,
we asked them if they were wanting us to teach the lessons to them again
with a focus on them being baptized?
They said that yes, that was what they were wanting.
We are excited and now are busy teaching them.
We hope they will find out the truthfulness of the Gospel for themselves so they will be baptized.
They are a father and mother with 3 children,
an 11 yr. old boy, an 8 yr. old boy and a 2 month old daughter.
Wouldn't it be exciting to baptize a family?
Serving the Lord is wonderful!! What could be better than this?
Love you all.
Keep busy and find people for the missionaries in your area to teach.
This is the errand of all of us as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We bring souls unto Christ!!

For some reason I forgot about blogs. I haven't updated my own blog, so thought there was no need to ever go to it. But today I did and came to the realization that I have been forgetting about all the OTHER people that update their blogs!! Now I have so much to catch up with! SORRY!! The sky shots are so beautiful! I'm excited about that family you've found! Hopefully things continue to progress with them! That car and license plate are sad! I wonder if it was a car accident that killed her?? Anyway, great post! I'll have to catch up over the next few days! Glad you guys are happy! Love you!
hmm..this is emily, not jeff. :)
We are so excited for the family you are teaching! Baptizing a family is such a special blessing. We'll keep you in our prayers.
Your clouds in Florida look like the amazing clouds we have here in Louisiana. You have inspired me to start taking photos of them.
Good luck with that family!
